Most proceeds go back to our Veteran community for those who have lost hope!
As Women in the military, no matter what branch, we have always been less than 2% of the forces. We also have always until recently been "not allowed in combat", yet umm...we've been in combat since the dawn of time! Take it all the way back to women defending their homes in the absence of their husbands, to Vietnam, to Desert Storm, Iraq and now OIF and OEF. We have always been up front and present, and....have seen combat.
We have performed just as well as our male counterparts, while dealing with the stigma of being a female in the military.
We are strong, we are resilient, and we have earned the respect of our brothers in arms.
We are hoping society will start to see us for what we are, female warriors.
Someday, when I wear my Desert Storm Combat Veteran hat, I am hoping that one person doesn't assume its my husbands, or doesn't hesitate before they say thank you for your service.
A girl can dream :)
